Reporting and Assessment

Our curriculum is designed so that all students make progress with their learning, regardless of their starting points. Teachers support students to understand how well they are learning and any areas where they need further support or study to secure their knowledge, skills and understanding. Parents and carers also play an important role in supporting their child’s learning. The process below outlines how we achieve this:

  • Students receive a target grade based on data collated when they join the College
  • Formal assessments and Progress reports occur twice per year for each student
  • There are grades given to show academic progress and attitudes to learning
  • Written reports occur once per academic year, following a formal assessment for each child. This is shared with parents/carers as part of the learning journey
  • Parents evening occurs once per year for each child at which the child’s progress and next steps for improvement are discussed
